About Engine

Engine is the all-in-one travel and spend management platform trusted by 38K+ businesses and groups representing 1.8M+ travelers. We're the retailer and the rails of business travel, the fastest-growing company in travel tech, built on a decade of proprietary technology, supply, and pricing no one else can replicate. Other travel and AI companies run on our infrastructure to book real trips, hold rates, and move payments, without building any of it themselves. We built it, AI-forward at every layer, from how travelers book to how the rails run.

That work has earned recognition as one of Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators (2025), TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), and one of Built In's Best Places to Work (2020–2026).

We're looking for bold, ambitious people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Working here, you can expect exponential growth, an ambitious pace, full ownership, and high-caliber colleagues who push you to do the best work of your career. Every hire raises the bar.

Come outpace the ordinary and build the future of travel with us.

The Opportunity

Engine has grown to nearly 1,000 people, spread across the US and internationally. Keeping every team connected to the same story (how the strategy fits together, where we're headed, what changed this week) takes more than good writing. It takes rhythms, systems, and someone who owns them at the enterprise level.

This role is the enterprise backbone of Engine's internal comms. You'll produce our weekly All Hands and quarterly in-person Town Halls, own the comms plans for major cross-company announcements and org changes, and run the enterprise programs (Confluence architecture, Slack norms, scalable manager training, AI skill-building) that give the whole company shared tools and habits for communicating well. You'll partner with leaders across every business function, connecting each business unit's strategy to the larger story the whole team can see.

We move fast at Engine, and clear communications help employees keep pace. You'll have the tools, design support, and high-impact in-person moments to build the enterprise comms operation a fast-growing company needs.

What You'll Do

  • Own the enterprise comms operation. Own the editorial calendar and comms rhythms that keep the whole company aligned, informed, and moving in the same direction.
  • Produce All Hands and Town Halls. Own end-to-end production of our weekly virtual All Hands and quarterly in-person Town Halls: content, narrative, speakers, run-of-show, and follow-through.
  • Drive major announcements and change comms. Lead comms strategy and execution for company-wide moments: leadership changes, org shifts, cross-functional initiatives, and other high-signal announcements.
  • Build the systems everyone else uses. Own Engine's Confluence home page, Slack architecture, norms and channels, and the AI skill-building programs that lift the whole company's ability to communicate.
  • Coach senior leaders. Partner with Directors, Senior Directors, and VPs across the company on their communications, from written memos to All Hands appearances, so they show up clearly and consistently.
  • Connect the enterprise story. Make sure each business unit's strategy fits into the larger picture the whole company can see, in partnership with the Internal Comms Business Partners embedded across the org.
  • Build with AI. Design and maintain repeatable projects, agents, and automations that capture templated approaches and learn individual leader tone of voice, so comms scales without losing signal and leaders can self-serve where it makes sense.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years in internal, executive, or enterprise communications, ideally at a fast-scaling company with a distributed workforce.
  • A track record coaching senior leaders, including CEOs, with the confidence and judgment to be a trusted advisor at the exec table.
  • Production chops. You've owned live All Hands, executive presentations, or comparable high-visibility events end-to-end, and know how to make them land.
  • Change management fluency. You've led comms through org changes, leadership transitions, and other high-stakes company moments.
  • A systems thinker's brain. You see where rhythms, structure, and tools are missing (editorial calendars, event cadences, Confluence hierarchies, Slack norms, manager training) and build them.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial instincts. You can shift voice, tighten a message, and make a leader sound like their best self.
  • Discretion, integrity, and the maturity to be trusted with sensitive information.
