📜 Description
- Repair any torn or damaged linen for the Hotel Department; repair minor damages on curtains and drapes.
- Ensure that all threads, buttons, needles etc. are maintained at par levels, at all times and order supplies as needed.
- Regenerate replacement linen from soiled and damaged items, for example, cleaning rags from damaged towels.
- Carry out repairs on soft furnishings to extend the life of such items, where possible.
- Assist with all linen inventories, and with issuing and checking Steward supplies.
🛠️ Requirements
- in tailoring operations and be familiar with all the functions and operations of the Hotel and Linen Departments. Shipboard experience is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of storeroom operations and storing procedures is required.
- Fluent in English - must be able to address any kind of information in an adequate manner with excellent oral and written English communication skills – the ability to speak an additional language is an advantage.
- Must be flexible, stress resistant, and a committed
- Repair and make alterations to guests' clothing; make alterations to company issued uniforms, as required.
