The Role

As a Technical Program Manager, Security, you are the engine behind Palantir's security engineering teams. Palantir's software is trusted by some of the most critical institutions in the world, and protecting that trust requires a security organization that moves fast, stays ahead of threats, and never loses sight of quality.

You partner with security engineers to drive our security programs forward, ensuring we are building and shipping secure, resilient products every day. You track and stabilize projects, remove roadblocks, and anticipate stakeholder needs to free up our engineers to focus their time and attention on the security problems they are best equipped to solve.

Salary The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $93,000 - $160,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individual’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign-on bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives. Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with Palantir security engineers, infrastructure teams, product managers, and legal to drive key security deliverables through the entire software development and security lifecycle.
  • Synthesize concrete security goals from product and threat landscape vision, mapping global security strategy to granular team tasks and issues. This means triaging requests from the field to create maximum focus for the team, while escalating items that need immediate attention.
  • Keep broad and complete state of everything involving or related to your projects, including vulnerability remediation timelines, incident response obligations, and detection coverage gaps. Pre-empt and resolve any issues that may steer projects off-course.
  • Enhance cross-team collaboration across security engineering, IT, legal, and customer-facing teams. Read a room of technical experts to align them around shared objectives. Improve efficiency where you see miscommunication or lack of coordination.
  • Design, document, and continuously improve security processes and operational frameworks to scale programs without proportional increases in manual effort.
  • Drive incident response coordination, ensuring clear ownership, timely communication, and structured post-incident review processes that result in lasting improvements.
  • Work with customer-facing engineering teams on adoption, roll out, and support of security-related product features and certifications.
  • What We Value

  • Demonstrated success managing complex security or software development programs for an enterprise software company, startup or otherwise.
  • An ability to engage in technical discussion and invest in learning security concepts, including threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and cloud infrastructure security.
  • Excellent judgment and composure in high-pressure situations, including during active security incidents.
  • A creative approach to program management centered around lightweight frameworks that enable rapid iteration, while operating in harmony with a larger security and engineering organization.
  • An ability to develop strong relationships with both technical security teams and customer-facing stakeholders, with a high level of empathy for our end-users' needs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including holding tightly to your team's security and product quality bar.
  • A proven track record of building and scaling security programs and processes from the ground up.
  • Relevant technical background or experience in a security or software-related field is a plus, but not required.
